Program Requirements

 

MEDICAL REPORT
For applicant and their dependants from a local doctor/private hospital in Malaysia.

MEDICAL INSURANCE
For applicant and dependants must possess a valid medical insurance coverage from any insurance company in Malaysia.

MEETING THE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS
All successful applicants must open their fixed deposit account in a local bank in Malaysia.

Below 50 years old (either single or married with spouse & dependants) 50 years old and above (either single or married with spouse and dependants)
Fixed Deposit of RM300,000.00 Or USD75,000.00 Choose Either RM150,000.00 (or USD40,000.00)
OR Current monthly off-shore income of RM10,000.00 (or USD25,000.00)
e.g. Remuneration from a Company, Retirement
Pension, Rental receipt, any other return from investments (consistent)

After a period of one year, can withdraw Fixed Deposit as approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes

Withdraw up to RM240,000.00
(or USD60,000.00)
Withdraw up to RM90,000.00
(or USD24,000.00)

Must maintain a minimum of RM60,000.00 (or USD15,000.00) in the fixed deposit account from the second year onwards and throughout stay in Malaysia.

TAXATION
Successful applicants must obey all laws in Malaysia and do not have exemption qualifications as granted to Diplomatic Missions in Malaysia. You are required to pay domestic income tax for income generated within Malaysia but not required to pay tax for income generated outside Malaysia.

RESTRICTIONS
Participants under Malaysia My Second Home Program are not allowed to work nor do business while staying in Malaysia. In addition, they should not participate in activities that can be considered as sensitive to the local people and a threat to the security of the country; for example in political activities, missionary activities and provocative or instigative activities.

BENEFITS FOR SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS :-

Successful applicants will receive 10-year Social Visit Pass and Multiple-Entry Visa. After 10 years, it is renewable provided the laws of Malaysia are not violated. During these 10 years, you are free to stay in Malaysia and travel as often as you like.

PROPERTY
Permitted to purchase up to two units of residential houses valued at more than RM150,000-00 to RM350,000-00 each, (RM250,000.00 and above for the state of Johore and Penang, etc.) depending on the location of the property. (freehold and leasehold permitted). You may apply for a loan for up to 60% (subject to qualifications) on the value of the property.

CAR
Bring in his/her own car (used) OR to purchase a locally-assembled car without the need to pay import duty, excise duty and sales tax. It is a great saving.

SCHOOLING
Bring their children who under 18 years old and not married as their dependant. Children who intend to continue their schooling in Malaysia are required to apply for a Student Pass.

MAID
Can apply for one maid subject to the prevailing guidelines of the Immigration Department of Malaysia or alternatively can hire a foreign maid from countries approved by Malaysia Government.

BUSINESS
You can be an investor and own businesses in Malaysia.
